Summer 2002

Summer Hot sticky days and no relief in sight. Hazy thick air that you can almost touch. Find a shade tree and rest a  while. Waiting for rain, praying for rain, or a breeze to cool things a bit. Looking to the sky for clouds, but none in sight. Evening will bring some comfort soon. Where is the Good Humor man when you really need him? A lime popsicle would  be nice about now, but a slice of watermelon will do... is there any watermelon, or are the peaches ripe yet? Something cool and wet that dribbles juice down my chin. Summer brings with it such thoughts.
