CANDLES & OTHER THINGS TO PONDER

Candles have the warmth of romance about them but they also evoke a sense of comfort and create an ambiance with fragrances and dancing light. To me they also call up memories of campfires  & bonfires on chilly nights and of making that first  fire in the crisp early pre-dawn hours. On stormy nights I turn out all the lights, burn candles and listen to the rain...great stress relief.

There's nothing more essential during a storm, than a candle and a pack of matches.  Sure you have your flashlight...but are the batteries still good?  Better to have a candle on the shelf, ready to light, than to have a flashlight with dead batteries...and no replacements handy.

If you don't have speakers...well darn it, you're missing the sounds of a rainy thunder storm!
